SARTO SETA PLUS CUSTOM BUILD

The Sarto Seta Plus definitely falls into the dream bike category. The frame is designed to be an all-rounder, light enough to feel responsive on any climb, aero enough to hold speed on the flat and perfectly balance to tear down any descent. The customer opted for an understated design with black logo’s on a raw carbon frame. The stealth look is something to behold and also has the added benefit of keeping the weight to a minimum. The weight saving continued with the 1255g Zipp 353 NSW’s and superlight SRAM Red AXS groupset.

SARTO LAMPO CUSTOM BUILD

The Sarto Lampo is an out and out race machine designed to be ridden at speed. The aero frameset allows you to cut through the wind and with this set up we went for a deep set of wheels, the Scope R5’s and fully integrated front end to make sure it’s as fast as possible. The customer opted for a 1X set up with single chainring on the front to save weight and to give a clean airflow while the 10-36T gives a wide gear ratio for climbing on all terrain.

Build Specification:

-Sarto Lampo Plus frameset

-SRAM Force AXS 1X groupset with Ingrid crankset

-Scope R5 wheelset

-Hutchinson Fusion 5 tyres

-Selle San Marco saddle

SARTO SETA PLUS

Bespoke frameset handmade in Italy. Constructed with performance and comfort in mind for our customer, John, who was looking for the dream bike to celebrate his retirement

Frameset

The Sarto Seta Plus frameset. Handcrafted in Italy, made to measure, painted according to his design. The starting point for our builds is always the frameset and in case it’s a real showpiece. The Seta Plus is designed to be light enough to race on but has comfort in mind. It has a slightly more relaxed geometry than the pure race bikes Sarto offer but retains the stiffness to ensure performance isn't compromised.

Groupset

Next was the groupset. John had decided he wanted to go electronic and having already used previous SRAM components he was set on going down this route. The AXS groupset offered an opportunity to save weight and provide a wide range of gearing with the 2*12 setup. Being based just outside the Pennines means that most of the riding John does is in the hills and the more gears you have the better! 12-speed gearing ensures the jumps between gears are minimal and you never end up in between gears on the flat or climbs.

Wheelset

The wheelset comes in the form of the Zipp 303 firecrests. We talked about several options for wheels but settled on the Firecrests to save weight and knew they'd work perfectly in tandem with a set of 28mm tyres to provide the optimum level of grip and comfort on the heavy roads in the area.

Finishing Kit

Finally the finishing kit. Sarto offers an integrated bar/stem system to keep the front end of the bike looking clean and ensure the bike is as aerodynamic as possible.
