Bossi Grit SS Custom Build Gravel Bike

BEN’s Bossi Grit SS Gravel Bike Custom Build

Ben didn’t choose the Bossi Grit SS by accident — he chose it for how he rides.

Durability came first. Gravel riding is demanding, and the stainless steel frame offers strength, resilience, and a ride feel that only gets better with time.

He was equally drawn to the clean, understated aesthetic — timeless, refined, and free from distractions.

Tyre clearance was key. Big tyres mean more grip, comfort, and confidence on rough gravel trails and unpredictable surfaces.

The SRAM XPLR 13-speed drivetrain provides the gear range to handle everything from steep climbs to fast flats, while the Zipp wheels enhance efficiency, control, and overall ride quality.

In short, it’s a bike built for longevity, versatility, and riding wherever the road — or trail — leads.

VIELO R + 1 CUSTOM BUILD ROAD BIKE

The Vielo R+ 1 frameset has been optimised for a 1X set up from the ground up. The Alto model weigh’s just 880g (raw) and this weight saving combined with an incredibly aerodynamic design means this bike will climb as well as anything but also hold its speed on the flat. The SRAM Red 1X groupset helps to reduce weight and keep the overall setup slick.

The secret weapon…the Classified R50 wheelset. This is the latest technology that essentially moves your front derailleur into you hub. Why? It cleans up the airflow around your crankset by running a single chainring and no front derailleur. For some people the 1X set up limits the gear range but this is where the classified hub comes in to allow you to drop your gear to 0.7 of the current gearing (e.g from 50T to 35T). The second benefit of moving gears into the hub is allowing you to change gear under load. You can be pedalling at up to 1000w and with a press of a button the hub seamlessly changes your ratio.

Build Specification:

-Vielo R + 1 frameset

-SRAM Red groupset with Vielo crankset

-Classified 50mm wheelset

-Schwalbe Pro 1 tyres

-Selle San Marco saddle
